Leblon-Delienne figurinesResin statuettes of cartoon and comics characters of highest quality in Limited Edition
It was the meeting of two people , Marie Leblon and Eric Delienne, the sculptor and the entrepreneur, which gave birth to Leblon-Delienne .
Marie Leblon, the sculptor, was born near Lille in 1948, where she spent a dreamy and inventive youth. Sensitive, and drawn to the beauty of things, she learned to dance and as a choeographer formed her own troupe. Fifteen years later Marie rediscovered the expressiveness of the human body through sculpture, which she practised in her studio.
Eric Delienne, the chief executive, was born in Valenciennes in 1952. At 18 ans he chose the freedom of being a "vagabond poet", always reinventing his profession as the need arose. Self-taught, always self-employed, he learned management and the role of the entrepreneur.
The meeting of two pasionate people
Associated since 1997, Marie Leblon and Eric Delienne shared their first business experience with friends and, in 1979, set themselves up in Normandy in order to manufacture craft toys. Very soon they were to continue the adventure as a couple.
Creation of the Leblon-Delienne brand
It was in 1983 that they signed their first contract with the Herge copyright holders, adding this universe to their collection of wooden puppets. In 1986, Marie Leblon gave life to her first sculptures, and then in 1987 the first resin statuettes appeared. In 1989, the company was launched and the Leblon-Delienne universe steadily grew to include other cartoons and comic book heroes.
The future
Aware of having created a very particular style, Marie Leblon plans to continue to awaken the dreams of those who discover her work on sculptural themes close to the world of childhood. This plan has extended into the creation of range of decorative objects and furniture. | |
