Michel AroutcheffFrom his youth, Michel Aroutcheff keeps a few years spent in Morocco, and high school studies in France.
Grown up, he spends five years studying fine arts in Paris, specializing in Architecture, before taking off for Canada.
In 1973 he starts to create furniture and toys.. anmong which his famous miniature cars in laquered wood. In 1986 he creates his own small company. Collectors rush on his statues and models of comic strip and cartoon characters and heroes, realized in colourful laquered wood, resin or metal in Limited Editions. His Boule & Bill, Gil Jourdan, Tintin, Gaston etc. become famous. The adventure becomes a myth.
Born in Paris on 28 january 1946, Michel Aroutcheff lives and works now in a little mountain village near Annecy, France, where he prepares his new collections. |  |
