Marionnettistes de BirmanieTraditional puppet shows constitute an important part of Burmese people way of life. They can last all night long and are presented even in the smallest villages. The main themes are Buddhist or Yamasat legends and are mostly inspired from the Indian Ramayana tale.The traditional puppets are dressed with cotton clothes or with richly golden and pearls embroidered costumes.
