Regal in her countenance, this Majapahit princess exudes the rich artistry that reigned in Indonesia between the 12th and 14th centuries. During this period, King Hayam Wuruk succeeded in gradually uniting the whole archipelago under the name of Dwipantara. Nenny Lukhita replicates the graceful fashions of the times, which were influenced by Hindu trends. The beautiful princess is crafted by hand featuring a pule wood face, and pinewood arms and legs. Her majestic costume is sewn of cotton featuring batik prints, and copper crown and jewelries. Pinewood sticks move the puppet, which rests on a teakwood stand.
