The classic Victorian Rocking Horse features an equally classic leather saddle on its back. A craftsman building a rocking horse wouldnt necessarily know how to make a small saddle. Making professional saddle and tack from harness leather is a special skill. But consider; which child wouldnt prefer a real saddle to a padded cushion? It took us some convincing to have a saddler make a mini dressage saddle for our horse complete with elaborate tack, and...youre the judge. Beautifully tanned and treated saddle leather and hand stitched tack will last generations when well maintained (saddle soap is the word). And for the Rodeo fans: a set of Western style saddle and tack is arriving sometime soon!
