Jean-Antoine Houdon (March 20, 1741, Versailles – July 15, 1828, Paris) is a French sculptor famous for his realist works. He was clever for marble work but had also talent and skills to shape clay, plaster, bronze and terracotta. He was called the "Lights sculptor". He is the autor of the famous anatomical studies made during his training in Rome.
