The original of this marble piece is a stucco sculpture, 43 cm high representing King Pacal. It was found in the Temple of the Inscriptions in Palenque. The facial features express serenity and wisdom which this enlightened King was famous for. He contributed a lot to the political and cultural development of the city of Palenque.
This piece stands for people who contribute their serenity and wisdom to their community.
