On these turnout points, the conducting heart point allows to optimize the power supply of the track at the heart of shunting. As in reality, these points cannot be forced, because in this case there would be a short circuit. The turnout point must thus always be positioned in the direction which will be followed by the vehicle. The polarization of the point of the heart, actually switch from + to - according to the position of the point, will be correct and is automatically assured.

The Piccolo tracks system is an innovation of Fleischmann. The tracks, as in all N-scale tracks with a spacing of 9mm of rails, are here equipped with finely rendered ballast.
