Rounding Cape Horn while braving furious gales and storms, they passed by lands originally called Terra Incognita. Their records of passage have been documented and their names are legendary. Half models were built by shipwrights from the Age of Sail as a record of the specific shape of a ship’s hull. Traditionally built from hollowed out, stacked planks of alternating color wood.
