A true icon in automotive history, the Stanley Steamer was a familiar sight on American roads in the early 20th Century. The 1916 Roadster was the descendent of the front-mounted boiler that set the world’s land speed record of just over 127mph just a decade earlier. This extraordinary die-cast model captures every distinctive feature of the legendary Runabout. The detail is sensational, from the “coffin nose” hood that lifts to reveal the boiler to the engine mounted on the rear axle. Gleaming with accents of 24 karat gold, the model also features faux wood running and floor boards and functional convertible top.
