By 1936, the Hudson Motor Car Company had established itself as one of Detroit’s leading innovators. Hudson automobiles were the first to feature dual brakes, self-starters, a dash-mounted oil pressure gauge and generator warning lights, as well as the first balanced crankshaft.
The new custom Hudson Eight of ’36 kept that trailblazing tradition alive with the introduction of radial safety control and rhythmic ride suspension. Innovative advances, a more powerful engine, and body styling that was more than easy on the eye, combined to make this Hudson one of the most desirable cars to emerge from the 1930’s.
