The Soleil Royal: sailing ship French admiral, launched in the years 1670. Long of 75.5 m, strongly armed (104 guns), it was engaged with 43 other vessels under the command of the Vice-admiral of Tourville against the Dutch and English in 1692 in Barfleur, and gained on this occasion a bright victory, sinking 15 enemy vessels.

The model

This model is produced by hand by Vietnamese craftsmen starting from hard exotic wood. The hull is built in broadsides on couples (boards fixed on the reinforcement). The level of detail is excellent, and finishing is superb. This model of boat is not in kit, but is directly ready to be admired.
