An 84 m long French flagship of 74 guns, launched in 1784. The Superbe was designed by architect Jacques Noël Sane who drew many French ships of the XVIIIth century. The lines and qualities of navigation of his ships were admired unanimously, even by our friends and nevertheless competitors from England. In the race for glory and world supremacy, they couldn't help using immediately against France the French ships they captured.
The Superbe is regarded as one of the most beautiful French warships of the time.

The model

This model is produced by hand by Vietnamese craftsmen starting from hard exotic wood. The hull is built in broadsides on couples (boards fixed on the reinforcement). The level of detail is excellent, and finishing is superb. This model of boat is not in kit, but is directly ready to be admired.
