The cotre is the francized name of the English cutter ship. Small warship with a single mast, having a very large main sail; its bowsprit is almost horizontal; it sails a very large outer jib, and inside a trinquette. The large cotres carry a topgallant and topmast. They have, besides topsail and topgallant, a foresail for the large and the back wind. It sails with a great difference of draught and, consequently, its mast is tilted backwards.

The model

These solid metal models of planes, helicopters or boat are manufactured by artisans in the workshop of Créations Serge Leibovitz of Seillans (France) and each pewter model (94%) is cast in a silicone mould which also is designed and manufactured by the company. After quenching, parts are polished, and assembled to form the model of plane or boat on a varnished mahogany wood stand.
