Zipper by Azimute Category : ship, sailboat, runabout models
 | Product discontinued |
The Zipper was drawn by John Hacker. It was a fast hydroplane of class 225. The Zipper illustrates the sobriety and the elegance of the race runabouts of the Twenties and Thirties. Its planing hull with angular sides is designed to increase its speed and to improve its stability in tight turn. One notices the two small cockpits disposed in tandem on this racer, sheltering each one a pilot. The rules of races having later opened the competition for class 225 boats with only one person, the naval architect chose this provision of the cockpits which makes it possible to easily close the second cockpit with a fabric for the competitions.
