A schoonerSchooner is an English word designating a small sailing ship with two masts, with sails fore-and-aft and that one can compare with the sailing ships known in France as goélettes. (Source: wikipedia) built in 1921 in Canada in Lunenburg, after a design by William Coiled. This fishing vessel won over the United States the International Fishermans Race that year, and reached an immediate national celebrity in Canada. BlueNose II is a precise copy of BlueNose, launched in 1963.
