The Koru opens up as each new front of a fern leaf. Therefore it depicts the meaning, new beginnings and growth/development. This double Koru, made of Nephrite Jade, represents two lives developing, growing in harmony within the same circle of life. Also stands for a stable environment for new live.

The Simbolica Maori collection pieces were made by artisans in New Zealand and are based on the old symbolism from Maori Culture. Most statues and pendants were carved from Nephrite Jade although you will also find some pendants made of bone.
