Represents strength and determination and brings peace, prosperity and good health. Also provides safe journey over water. Traditionally it was good luck for a Maori to wear a Matau whilst fishing. Nephrite Jade.

The Simbolica Maori collection pieces were made by artisans in New Zealand and are based on the old symbolism from Maori Culture. Most statues and pendants were carved from Nephrite Jade although you will also find some pendants made of bone.
