In this design there is a combination of two Maori symbols. The round Koru stands for new beginnings and growth/development. The Whale Tail protects travelers and stands for wisdom and a long life. Nephrite Jade.

The Simbolica Maori collection pieces were made by artisans in New Zealand and are based on the old symbolism from Maori Culture. Most statues and pendants were carved from Nephrite Jade although you will also find some pendants made of bone.
