Snarling a warning, a seated jaguar bares sharp fangs and emits a low growl. Angel Cerón brings the figure to life in a handsome ceramic replica. The original clay vessel was discovered in Monte Alban where it guarded the entrance to the tombs. It comes from the classic period of Mexico's pre-Hispanic Zapotec civilization.
